It’s day three of the dog blog challenge! Today, things get a little darker, as we discuss Choppy’s worst enemy.

Paul: not Choppy's worst enemy, but they're still getting to know each other. So long as you interpret "getting to know each other" as "tolerant, at best." Of course, once they do know each other better, this entry might have to be revised.

Other than Paul, there were several potential entrants in this contest (as it turns out, Choppy doesn’t like a lot of creatures). Choppy dislikes any number of the dogs in our neighborhood and the squirrels definitely made a run for this dubious honor.

But in the end, there can only be one truly worst enemy.

And that prize goes to the UPS man.

I can only imagine how much she would hate him if he didn't occasionally bring her treats and toys.

While Choppy also dislikes the FedEx guy and the mailman, the UPS guy is just a little worse in her world. If I guessed, I would say that it’s because the truck makes a unique sound that she hears more easily than the steps of the mailman or the random vans of FedEx.

As she will also bark at the occasional UPS truck on our walks, I’m pretty confident that this guess is correct.

Some day, perhaps Choppy will make her peace with the UPS guy. Until then, though, I think we’re stuck with a dog who harbors hatred for someone who only wants to bring her something to play with or eat. I’d hate to see what she would do if he didn’t bring her the occasional morsel of food or toy.
