The first entry in the dog blog challenge is an introduction to Choppy. If you’re reading Travels with Choppy, chances are that you already know something about Choppy. So, rather than just give you a typical biography, I thought I would give you 3 odd facts about Choppy. These have nothing to do with her biography.

1. Choppy’s pads on the bottom of her feet are both pink and black. Similarly, her nails are also clear and black. I’ve heard that some dogs lose the pink color as they get older, but Choppy’s paws have remained the same (and as she is going on six years old, I doubt they are going to change much going forward – we’re long past the puppy years).

2. Choppy has a tattoo! She got it the same time she got spayed at the local humane society, before I took her home. It’s in her ear.

3. Choppy had her own business cards. They are older (they go to our old website, which hasn’t been updated in years), but she definitely had them. Perhaps I will give them out to people some day as collector’s items.
