Happy Halloween! Before we get to Choppy’s week in pictures, how about a bonus Choppy in a costume picture?
Choppy’s the bomb (hey, you ask for pics of Choppy dressed up, you get bad puns as part of the deal).
Choppy’s week in pictures – enjoy!
The beginning of the week in Indiana was gorgeous – warm, with the leaves changing. You can’t ask for a much better time to go for a walk!Choppy found a spot to sit on Monday night that might not smell the best…
The cat looking at Choppy is Peach – my parents’ cat. Here, she is deciding whether to interpret the adage “Let sleeping dogs lie” literally and leave Choppy alone (note: she did let her lie). This face is hard to resist. Which is probably why she begs in the first place. And where am I supposed to sleep?
Remember, you can always keep up with Travels with Choppy on Facebook and Twitter!
I laughed at the begging Choppy picture. When I had the dog-brothers I noticed that when they begged they tried to make themselves seem as small as possible (but have big wet looking eyes). In trying to look small one must keep in mind they each weighed between 45 and 60 lbs. But it worked every time with me.
It is amazing how cute dogs can make themselves! Especially the bigger ones!
I was at my parents’ house in that picture, and the begging goes up a notch there, as she knows my mom is always willing to give her something (I’m pretty sure Choppy ate half of her breakfast yesterday).
Just like the dog I grew up with – he would never have allowed us to put clothes on him (just thinking about attempting to do so amuses me, and he has been gone a while now).

I have done it with her from the day she came home (more or less) – she doesn’t know anything else!
