The second to last of the Dog Blog Challenge challenges is one that is rather easy for me (despite it being a day late): the title of the book about Choppy’s life. That book would be Travels with Choppy.
Why is it so easy to come up with this?
(No, not because it’s the blog’s title).
It’s easy because I’ve already written the book.
And no, I don’t mean “book” as in, the posts on the blog put together into something resembling a book. I mean, I have a book about Choppy’s life, which includes very little that has previously been on the blog. The stories are things that tend to have been mentioned in passing, but which I thought deserved more than such basic treatment (often, I couldn’t post more than something basic because we were somewhere without good Internet service, or, in the case of the Alaska Highway, somewhere beyond the reach of anything but satellite Internet).

Someday, I hope to get the book published. It is no longer a work in progress; I’ve been finished with it for months (though, as a lawyer who is always attempting to get just a few more edits in before a deadline, I am continually tweaking parts of it. After all, I can always make it just a little better. Or, as the case often is, I think I can make it better and can’t, then have to go back and change everything back to the way it was before).
I think it’s a fun and amusing story, and I hope people would enjoy reading it (after all, thousands of people come to the various Choppy websites and social media sites on any given day – I don’t expect everyone to want a book about Choppy, but I hope a few would buy such a book (family and close friends, I am looking at you).
I hope that someday I’ll get the chance to get you the book of Choppy’s life to read. In the meantime, I hope you continue to enjoy the blog, because I enjoy writing it (and, for the record, I think Choppy enjoys it as well – at the very least, she enjoys the treats and walks and squirrel chases that come with the posting, which I will count as enjoying it).

Keep up with Travels with Choppy on Facebook and Twitter!
Choppy also has her own Facebook, Twitter and Instagram!

Brake a leg in the publishing world. I think dog stuff goes over quite well. You and Choppy have a great story.
