It is huge – our hotel was nearby, so I got to walk past it several times (enough that I eventually snapped a pic without clouds).

I thought it was a great piece. Apparently, there once was music for it, but I didn’t hear any.

As one lacking creative skills, I always enjoy seeing the skill others possess. Art is amazing on so many different levels.

For sure – though I can’t say I always appreciate all of it!

I’ve seen a lot of pictures of the sculpture, but I wanted something a little different.

And to think, there was quite the uproar in town when it was unveiled…in case you hadn’t noticed (whispers), they’re genderless and (gasp) naked! LOL.

Ha! I only saw an article discussing their costs and complaining about someone (perhaps the mayor’s wife?) unilaterally deciding to put them in.

Ah yes, I do remember that brouhaha around town. Me, I thought ‘dang…how cool’ are these guys?! 😊 Course peeps got their knickers in a bunch with the 18 ft. tall ballet dancers in front of the Sheraton too. People are way too serious about public art.

These aren’t that far from my house on Speer Blvd. and they always make me smile. Wish I were thin like that! 😊

Of course, at that height, it would be hard to fit in any cars to go places.

And you’d lose out on all those steps you and Choppy take with that long of a gait.

Very good point! Although we could put lots of miles behind us quickly…it’s a trade off.

We have a similar figure here in Munich, standing at the Leopoldstraße, one of Munich’s main streets. It is called “The Running Man”, and if I’m not mistaken it has been made by the same artist. I will gonna take a look at it in the next days. 😉
