This will – thankfully – be a short Dog Blog Challenge entry.
If you spend any time looking at dog blogs, you’ll unfortunately know of more than a few people who have wonderful dogs who are beset with health problems.
Thankfully, Choppy is not one of those dogs.
From the day I brought her home, Choppy has been almost entirely free of health problems [knock on wood]. She has cut her pads a couple times, been subject to minor allergies and gotten into something that irritated her eyes. Nothing a normal person would rush her dog to the vet for.
In related news, Choppy got special (read: expensive) trips to the vet for each of these things.
Despite her infrequent trips to the vet, Choppy hates it. Hopefully, her health will continue to be OK, as I don’t want to take her any more than is necessary. Whether this is because she hates it so much, or I hate dealing with her at the vet is a topic still up for debate.

It really is an adventure going there. She has figured out how to slip out of her harness and do everything she can to stay in the car. Once we’re inside, she either cowers under the chairs in the waiting room or paces.
The worst part is that everyone there is so nice to her! She repays it by peeing on their floor.

I’m sorry, but I had to laugh :)). She’s quite a character. Don’t say the V word in front of her then or she’ll go hide haha. I guess all dogs hate vets, but we also hate to go to the doctor, so I can understand it. I guess keeping her healthy is the only way 🙂
