Perhaps Choppy should just stick with begging for food as a hobby, rather than writing poetry.

Choppy, thank goodness you have your looks to fall back on!

And unlike us humans, she doesn’t lose those as she gets older. Or perhaps I should say some of us humans. Some of us still look great at all ages.

A cute little doggy called Choppy
Had ideas invariably soppy
A kitten called Schooner
Told Choppy she’d sooner
A better big sibling to copy

Excellent! I am glad I could provide you with a limerick opportunity, now that I know you enjoy them.

Schooner has it right in this case!

Apparently, he has been learning about poetry while we’re at work.

It was a good attempt Choppy, but a little rude for a lady.

She’s a pretty crude lady. I have no idea where it came from.

I know her upbringing has been impeccable, I can only guess it’s the TV she watches while you’re at work.

Or Schooner has been a poor influence in some way 😳

Oh Choppy. That was a good try. But, I do think you talent lies more in balancing things on your head and eating bacon.

Schooner must be a poetry snob.

You tell her Scooner! Good eye. Choppy needs to get her Limericks straight !

I’m not sure Choppy has the patience to learn more forms of poetry – it took her long enough to get the haiku down, anything else could be a lifelong endeavor!

There was a dog that loved bacon.
With bacon she was quite taken.
Her cat liked bacon, too,
But dog said “None for you!”
And cat replied “You’re mistaken!”
