It really isn’t a party until someone turns the water on the cat.

I’m amazed you could get them both to go in a bathtub. My animals avoid any shower, tub, or kiddie pool, figuring it’s bath time.

Schooner has no idea, as he has never had a bath. Choppy HATES going in there, but she loves treats more, so she gets in (reluctantly, though still without any prodding beyond me asking her to do so, because treats).

Choppy… you is on the naughty list

She has been there her whole life – and yet, she still gets presents, so no lessons have been learned.

Good luck with that!

I don’t think it ends well for either of them!

Schooner is just lucky Choppy asks before trying something like that!

😀 I don’t know if Choppy likes a bath, but she is looking pretty worried, but that may be just her proximity to Schooner.

The behind-the-scenes scoop is that one of these two doesn’t entirely mind getting wet, and the other hates it – and the latter is the canine.

No wonder she looks worried and Schooner does not!

Just a reminder, Choppy: be nice!

The last thing she wants is to draw the ire of Santa this time of year.

Go on Choppy, turn the cold water tap on and see how Schooner reacts. Go on Choppy. (says the Elf).

The elf would probably turn the shower on and get them both!

It’s a good thing she is polite and asked about doing it (or not doing it, as the case was).

Ohhhh that would be a disaster MOL!

I’m guessing Choppy would bear the brunt of Schooner’s wrath if she tried it.

Hahaha. Not sure what kind of parties you attend, but I’m not sure this is one I would enjoy. Sounds a little dangerous to me. 😉 You are amazing to get them both in the tub so close to each other. I read the above comments and am surprised that Schooner doesn’t mind the water. I guess some cats are okay with it, or, maybe that is a myth that we all hang onto.

The part about him enjoying the water is hearsay – someone (not me) lets him on the counter in the bathroom and apparently he enjoys the water. When I am in there, he goes nowhere near the counter. Schooner knows who lets him get away with bad behavior and who doesn’t, that’s for sure!

They learn quickly what they can get away with and with whom.

Now, all I have to do is train the other person to keep him off of the counters…

Sometimes, people are a whole lot harder to train than our 4-legged counterparts.

I think Schooner would be gone before even a drop got on him.

From Paul, I hear he actually doesn’t mind the water. Though this is all hearsay, as he doesn’t get up on the counters when I am around (or usually doesn’t).

Choppy, be nice, common!

You’ll be glad to know, no bathtubs were turned on in the making of this post.

Not the best idea Choppy, as I have a feeling you will deal with the brunt of the water ….but I must say, I really am impressed you asked.
My one cat loves drinking water from the bathroom basin tap, and enjoys droplets of water on her paws, which I she licks and then cleans.
Perhaps Schooner is the same. I doubt a flood of water on them would be enjoyed though….

I’ve heard Schooner is the same way – though I don’t let him up on the counter, so I have no idea. Others in the house may not be so strict with him.
