As someone who blames Schooner for many bad things (usually because he did those things), I would normally believe a statement blaming the cat. However, in December, Schooner is officially not the worst behaved creature in the house and therefore escapes blame, no matter what the elf says.
Well played Elf, well played.

Of course the Elf did it. I could never blame a cat with such a cute expression 🙂

I worry what will happen if these two ever decide to be friends.

Schooner does absolutely not look guilty…not at all…..and there are ways of telling when cats are guilty.

Schooner… if that elf becomes annoying (any more annoying if that’s possible) you can come stay here. I love me some Tabby-Kittys. AND we have 3 toilets, & 3 other kitties, so you can decorate with toilet paper all you like, we are used to it around here. ❤

It sounds like somewhere Schooner would love – don’t let Choppy hear it, though, or he’ll try and mail him to you!

What a sweet and innocent expression on Schooner – no way he did this!

For once, it really wasn’t his fault. Schooner may well miss the elf when he is gone.

Poor Schooner. Are you always the scapegoat? Luckily the Elf isn’t credible! You know, Schooner, you’re the big one here. You could totally take that elf down!

Usually he doesn’t need to be the scapegoat, because usually he is to blame!

I think that elf needs to be returned to Sender. I don’t think he is going to give Santa an accurate description of what is occurring in the house

I hope Santa knows he sent us an elf who is likely causing us so much trouble we should get double presents.

Schooner looks like he is saying, “Really mom. You don’t believe him, do you?” It’s going to be hard having two mischievous creatures in the house.

So long as they don’t team up, I think the rest of us are OK.

Oh yea. That could be bad!

Just eat the elf Schooner, eat the thing!

I’m sure he’s looking for a way to do just that!

Schooner probably would have enjoyed doing it, but this time, I think he is innocent (for once).

Usually ‘the guilty party’ finds the need to shift the blame……

The elf is not above lying, that’s for sure. I definitely think he is to blame here.
