Today is Slinky Day. I have to say, Choppy doesn’t look thrilled by this holiday.
(Random note: If anyone is interested in learning more about the Slinky, this article is an excellent place to go for more information. The Slinky story involves philandering, a cult, and a mom who saves the family business. Who knew a metal coil could be so interesting?)

Choppy is obviously not a Springer Spaniel 😄

Clearly, she is thinking: “Wire you doing this to me?”.

Not at all – and she seems to know it.

Haha, what a look! I remember the Slinky craze when I was a kid. I was most impressed with the way they would go all the way down the stairs once you set them in motion. Always the science geek. 😉

I just remember the one or two we ever got getting all twisted up, to the point where they would never go down the stairs again (at least not in the manner they are intended to go down stairs).

I love handling a Slinky. Had one at my desk in the law firm. It helped keep me from strangling the life out of more than one annoying boss over the years.😇

Ha! I can see the usefulness of that in a law firm!

In never ceases to amaze me as to how patient Choppy is. I hope she got lots of bacon after this one. Thanks for sharing the article on the slinky. It was very interesting and the video of the advertisement brought back lots of memories. I had a slinky as a kid and remember well the fascination of how it would go all of the way down the stairs. But, the memory I have the most is of the Christmas that, for some unknown reason, everyone who gave my brother and I presents got him a toy and me clothes. My aunt did the same thing. I went out to “play” with his slinky by holding one end and turning in circles. I wound up wrapping it around a post on my aunts porch and, therefore, tearing it up. I swore it was an accident, but my mom says I did it because I was mad that I wasn’t getting any toys. Not sure which memory is the truth, but I really do think it was an accident. 😉

That’s a great Slinky story – and one that everyone who has had one can see happening!

I am sure Choppy is thinking…this is not cool mom.
and probably Schooner is hiding !

Schooner wanted nothing to do with the Slinky. I’m sure once he got over the initial fear, though, he would enjoy watching it go down the stairs.
