Congrats on 1000+ …Yay! … an exciting milestone that I hope to pass soon myself.
The last kitten we had (1985) trashed the house so badly that I haven’t adopted one since. Adorable as kittens may be, adults are easier on the furnishings. 🙂

I feel like I went from well below 1,000 to passing it in mere days, after years of blogging. Sort of an overnight success(-ish).
And I think I will be with you on the future of any cats entering our house. A kitten is a lot of work! I feel similarly about puppies, but it’s nice to make sure the puppy has proper socialization and the like, which is easier if you get to take care of it.

Thank you! And I get lots of good training advice from people – right now, our house is a mess of aluminum foil. It is currently thwarting the destruction of a couch and keeping Schooner off the one counter he seems to refuse to stay off of otherwise. Next: we work on curtains.

Thanks! I was so excited – I guess that translates to about 300 followers a year, or .8 new ones a day (where all these partial people are, I have no idea). I figure that’s pretty steady progress!

Sarah, I always notice how clean & shiny your floors are….& that with 2 furry pets! All this talk about Choppy keeping a look out for 🐰 🐰🐰, maybe Schooner was tackling the curtains, looking for a stray dust 🐰!!

I see you have a leather chair. How is Schooner with that? My daughter’s cat left little pinholes in the backs of her leather chairs.

So far, no trouble with that our the leather couch. He seems to enjoy attempting to scratch up other furniture far more.
