If you’ve been around here or Choppy’s Facebook page for awhile, you know that I am the proud owner of more than a few pink plastic lawn flamingos. I love the things.
On Monday, the creator of the pink plastic flamingo, Donald Featherstone, passed away. In honor of his great creation, I give you three pictures of Choppy with some of our many pink flamingos:

Those flamingoes are a flash back to Mom’s childhood in her old neighborhood. Lucky you, C. Those are fun friends to hang out with…
Love and licks,

They are fun – and never take any treats for themselves!

One of the neighborhoods in town one year had had a running prank where you’d wake up with pink flamingoes on your lawn and then under the cover of darkness you would go bomb another neighbor. I’m sure it got old when they ran out of homes. If it happened to you, you’d have kept them! 😀

I would have kept them – I do love them a lot! Unfortunately, they seem to wander off a lot for inanimate objects. I always seem to be losing them!

No! That’s grim news about the creator of the pink flamingo dying. I did not know that!

It was sad news indeed. But I will continue to be glad for his contribution to my life!

It is nice to know someone likes pink flamingos – I have to say though I am not a fan of those pink birds. Sorry Did enjoy this post and your pictures of Choppy.

They aren’t exactly high art…I do keep them in the backyard, so they aren’t too prominent for the neighbors who feel the same way!

I use to have a pink flamingo as my college apartment decor. Oh those were the days.

I don’t think I got the memo that I was supposed to give them up. I will blame Jimmy Buffett.
