Kaua’i has chickens everywhere, thanks to a lack of predators on the island. Apparently, living a life of leisure on a tropical island has caused some of them to develop bad habits.

I was highly amused when I saw it. For that matter, I am still highly amused by it.

That’s so sad! The thought of thousands of chickens frantically scavenging to satisfy a nicotine addiction is …………… disturbing!

Oddly enough, it was one of the few places in Kaua’i where I didn’t see any chickens.

That proves that the sign worked. The chickens have gone elsewhere for their nicotine fixes.

I remember the chickens well, when I bike toured Molokai a few years ago. In the campgrounds there would always be a rooster with his multiple lady friends. No matter what campground you stayed there would be a 5:30 wake up call! LOL

My parents have their own flock outside the cottage where they are staying – no need for an alarm clock there, either!
