It is the middle of November and somehow we are buried in snow. Perhaps this is to prepare us for the move to Wisconsin…Choppy was not helping with the laundry. In related news, she is not helpful with most tasks around the house. Usually, she makes more of those tasks. Or makes them more difficult.Choppy is doing her best impression of a cat here as she sits in the sun.Behind the scenes on the paw print Dog Blog Challenge. Note: chalk does not work for this task.It may be snowy, but the squirrels don’t care. Meanwhile, I am hoping they start hibernating soon, so I can speed up our walks (because, despite having seen thousands of them over the course of her lifetime, Choppy always wants to stop and look at them).
I think the crows went after Choppy at some point – she is very wary of them. Though it might have been turkeys or turkey vultures, and Choppy has just equated all birds with this experience!
Well, maybe it’s just the memory of a happy childhood. I also remember winter days in Bonn in the Rhineland, when traffic broke down because of snow [they say that if there’s just one snowflake, the drivers in Bonn go crazy 😉 ]. And also what a mess it became when the dirty snow on the roads thawed. So, it’s definitely two-sided. And also, no prospect of too much snow around here [Fredericksburg, Texas Hill Country].
I did enjoy snowy days as a kid – snow days off of school, sledding, ice skating…actually, when I get these things as an adult, I like the snow as well. Perhaps it’s just perspective. And the chance to do something other than attempt to drive to work in the snow!
That’s a lot of snow for November! Choppy’s looking good tho 🙂

It is absurd – I think we have more already this year than we had over the entire winter of 2011-2012!

I love to look at the snow but am not looking forward to our first storm of the season. Stay warm and enjoy the weekend.

So cute! Glad Choppy had fun in the snow!
Chase shares Choppy’s love for the snow, he has not been fortunate enough to see many squirrels, instead he chases crows 🙂

Sometimes I miss the snow of my childhood days in Germany.

I would love a chance to have a snow-free winter sometime! That’s not in the cards any time soon, though.
