For people who have been visiting this blog for a long time, you may have noticed that I have recently been updating the blog on a daily basis (we’ll ignore that on Saturday that meant I posted something mere minutes before the stroke of midnight, because (a) I still made it before midnight, and (b) that’s pretty much it, actually).
To do this, I’ve been creating some regular features. This has really kept me focused, because I know what I am going to post, and when it has to be posted. It turns out, I’m someone who works better with a deadline (especially one that other people can see and hold me to). That there are some posts that aren’t as difficult for me to do and I can schedule for posting, giving me more time with the posts that do take a significant amount of time and effort.
One of the weekly posts I started was the Choppy by Number post, where I discuss something about Choppy that can be related to a number. While I think the posts work, I was finding it difficult to come up with topics for it.
So, over the weekend, I thought about what I could do instead. As you probably know (because you’re here, reading this blog), I’ve recently been doing a Dog Blog Challenge, where I post a daily item about Choppy on a pre-determined topic. I am really, really enjoying this, both because it gives me a daily post to focus on that I really love writing, and because other people seem to be truly enjoying it as well.
Putting Choppy by Number together with the Dog Blog Challenge, I realized, seemed to have the makings of what I hope will be a great feature: a Monday blog post called Choppy by Letter. Every Monday – starting next week – I will go through the alphabet, one letter each week, and do an entry on somewhere Choppy has traveled. Some places will be new, and other places will be old but with a new twist – a “revisit” to a place, if you will.
I hope you will enjoy the new feature – I am already looking forward to our first entry – it’s somewhere we went last year, and it’s nowhere near Indiana.

Keep up with Travels with Choppy on Facebook and Twitter!
Choppy also has her own Facebook, Twitter and Instagram!

Really enjoying all the Choppy exploits 🙂 Not a clue where the little muddy feet come from! 🙂

I wish I could take credit for the Dog Blog Challenge – but it was The Dogtails blog (http://dogtailsofphoebeandcooper.wordpress.com/) that gave me the basic idea!
