This is a picture from 2011, out at my parents’ house. They have a ton of black raspberry bushes. She wouldn’t do it often, but sometimes, Choppy would pull off some ripe berries and eat them. Mostly, though, she just waited for me to pick some and give them to her.

I remember my daughter’s big Dane/Lab mix Gus, and how he loved raspberries. He’d strip the canes and gag on prickers, hack and spit them out, and pick more.
Aside from Choppy, he’s the only dog I’ve known to do this.
