This time of year, Choppy likes to look for mice and other small creatures under the snow. I’ll spare you the details of what happens when she finds them. Suffice to say, it does not go well for the smaller creatures.

Aw I guess it is just the wolf in her coming out in the snow! 😀

Hahaha. It’s funny that you should say this. My 6 year old granddaughter was here over the weekend and she informed me that they had learned in school that dogs used to be werewolves. We tried to explain to her that dog’s ancestors were wolves, but she insisted that Tippy used to be a werewolf and wanted to know how I trained her to be a dog. LOL

Ah yes, a familiar sight to me. My own dogs would hunt around for critters, but the BEST critter-getters are my Mom’s doxie mixes. Her female, Gracie Lou, is a stone=cold killer. Mice, rats (yes, full size rats – huge), birds, cats and kittens, moles, voles, squirrels, rabbits …. any small-ish rodent-ish critter has a 98% chance of becoming a Gracie-snack. Kinda like a Scooby-snack but the dachshund variety. She also likes to “cook” them …. she’ll bury a kill (usually under the deck) and let it sit and get, well, nice and gross. Must be better flavoring.
