Our snows last weekend didn’t seem to bother everyone – this squirrel wasn’t about to let a little frozen water prevent him from enjoying a feast at our bird feeders.

He does, right? I think he was sort of OK with everything, because no other squirrels had ventured out to challenge him for food.

Good thing there’s birdseed at the Ferguson’s….Squirrels probably depleted their stash of acorns.

Based on how much time they spent at the feeders over the winter, I’m not sure they needed any winter stores!

So much snow! It almost looks like the squirrel is on a sled – just needs Choppy to come give him a push! 🙂

It does look like that! It was really coming down that day. Thankfully, most of it is gone now. We’re about to start grilling some supper, and we spent much of the day outside today. What a different a few days makes!

I wish we didn’t have snow to show you! Thankfully, it has warmed up a lot, and most of it is gone (save for some lingering snow on the north sides of places and where it was piled up).

Reminds me of when I have to go downstairs in the middle of the night for a drink of water. A squirrel’s got to do what a squirel’s got to do!
Great pic! Thanks for sharing.

If I didn’t know a squirrel was there, I might have missed it. Maybe he was in snow camouflage. Glad he had some bird seeds to help him stay warm.

I think he was thrilled to have the bird feeders to himself. Usually, it’s a squirrel party out there.

I certainly wanted nothing to do with that snow.

They are a lot like cockroaches, aren’t they? I’m sure their motto is adapt or become extinct.

It’s only a matter of time before we’re overrun. Perhaps it is already happening. I mean, if squirrels are just rats with cuter clothes, they’ve already started the process of making us accept them. Before we know it, we’ll be enslaved by our rodent overlords. 😉
