Sometimes, unfortunately in her mind – like when I tell her not to take a swim in the icy pond.

My Lucy would always have to be in the lead, but never failed to check back frequently to see where her human was at. Dogs are the best.

They really are – whenever we’re away from home without Choppy, I miss her. Her absence is especially noticeable on my walks. I’m so used to having her there, it just doesn’t seem right without her.

I always admire dogs who can walk themselves and not to dash into ‘escape mode.’ Bravo, Choppy. Good girl.

She is good – though if a bunny shows up, well, Choppy might not be so good.

That’s usually my view when I take Tippy back in the fields.

I do sometimes get the front view – when Choppy has found something particularly interesting and I have to turn around and make sure she’s coming.
