I’m pretty sure Choppy thinks I’m nuts for making her do this.

She does have a great “You’ve gotta be kidding!” expression.

I believe she wants to have a serious chat with you about this peanuts on the head thing…

Probably – though it isn’t going to stop me from making her balance things.

It’s probably not the first time she has had them (though it is more appropriate here).

Choppy doesn’t look too enthused about the balancing act of the can of peanuts in her head. She is wondeing why Scooner didn’t have to do this

I think she wonders that a lot.

Hmmm Peanuts! LM likes these too, tho I limit them.

One of Choppy’s faves – she would probably eat that whole container if I let her.

Hmmm…snack time. Is the footy on TV?

Not unless you’re talking American football – and even then, not until American fall!

Our footy season started in earnest this last weekend. Send me peanuts 😃

A whole month for peanuts? That’s an industry with a good marketing team.

They’ve suckered me in. I eat them every day!

😂😂 I prefer cashews and walnuts — an expensive preference sadly.

Nice job, Choppy. Peanuts are addicting – any form!

I agree – though the cocktail peanuts are my favorite (here’s hoping I never need to cut down on my salt intake).

Yes, unsalted aren’t quite the same.

Cute – although I like peanut butter I ate so many of the little bags of airline peanuts when I was an airline pilot (most of the commuter legs didn’t serve food to passengers or pilots and you could work an 14 hour day without getting a meal or time to get one in the terminal). To this day, just the smell of canned peanuts makes me nauseous.

Oh, that would be problematic – I have to limit my peanut intake. I could eat them pretty much all day (but not the dry roasted, just the cocktail ones).

She does look a little mad. However, I think it is because they are “cocktail” peanuts and there is no cocktail in sight.

😹😮🤭😂 why DO they call them ‘cocktail’?

That’s a great question. It’s really not a very appetizing name, is it?

Maybe ’cause it was a snack that went well with ‘cocktails’….back in the 1950’s? Before there were all the snacks that are now available? Now I’m going to look that up on Safari

Look up: ‘why are they called cocktail peanuts?’ 😁

Here are two answers I found on Google. Do they match with Safari?
During the Colonial period, tavern keepers stored their spirits in casks. When the casks got near empty, the dregs, or tailings, would be mixed together into one barrel and sold at a reduced price—poured from the spigot, which was referred to as the cock. Patrons wanting this cheaper alcohol would come in asking for “cock tailings.”
Another popular story comes from New Orleans, where an apothecary by the name of Peychaud (of bitters fame) served a mixed brandy drink in a French eggcup. Eventually the drink was named coquetier, the French term for an eggcup. Peychaud’s guests shortened the name to “cocktay,” and eventually it became “cocktail.”
