You mean you don’t scoop up after Choppy as she goes? Dog walkers here all carry bags with them. I think I prefer scooping the cat boxes. At least I’m not walking down the street with it!

Oh, I pick up after Choppy. It’s just somehow different in my mind than the litter. I think it’s the smell. Plus, the way we walk, I can usually just drop off Choppy’s bags and come back for them on our way home. It works quite well!

Nope – though I admit there is some satisfaction when everything comes up nicely. I would still rather not do it, though!

I’m with Donna on the poop duties though; a cat’s litter tray any day. I had to give up going walking with a friend because I couldn’t stop gagging from the bag of dog poop she always seemed to have looped around her wrist, however much I appreciate that she picks up after her dog. 🙂

The poop bag doesn’t bother me at all! I much prefer it to the cat litter smell.

My friend’s the same. 🙂 The Big T is totally grossed out by all poop, so I get to do a perimeter patrol to remove all the dog waste before he can mow the lawns.

‘Crunchy’ kitty litter is so much easier to scoop than poopy baby diapers or kids with poopy pants 😝 (had MORE than my share of all of that) ….somehow we got off topic….”Love your pet day…..”….it’s wonderful to have a pet to love & snuggle with or just pat…& taking care of a pet can give you something to focus on….even if it’s just taking care of a fishie.

I have to add…..cleaning up kitty litter is really not so bad…working at a Zoo & making sure all the animal enclosures are tidy must be a lot more work…elephants, hippos, 🐒 🦒, penguins……mucking out horse stalls….

I’m just not a fan of the kitty litter. The smell bugs me (I can tell when Schooner has been in it; it just lingers on him).

I agree with some of the above that every day is “Love your pet day,” or, at least it should be. And, if you don’t have to pick up the poop, I assume walks are better. I have never had the pleasure of cleaning out kitty litter. LOL Fortunately, around here, Tippy gets to poop in the woods or the cow pasture. I only have to pick it up if we are in town or at the tennis courts and she decides to go. Then, trash cans are nearby, so don’t have to carry it around for long.

Yes, my intention was to solely blog about walks. I am afraid in the end, I abandoned the idea and now just blog about my Choc Labrador in more general terms – with the odd specific walk thrown in. Writing’s the main thing though I guess…
