Many months ago, back when it was still fall, I snapped a couple pictures of Choppy in the woods at my parents’ house. Now that it’s winter, I’m making my current self jealous of those old days when it was warm and going outside didn’t require ten minutes worth of preparation so I don’t freeze to death. Someday, it will be warm again…

The weekly instructions and warning:
Choppy is somewhere in the photo below. We will post an answer on Monday so you can see if you are correct in your guess as to her location. In the meantime, if you don’t want to know where she is, do not go look at the comments. They are full of answers. And poor guesses. But mostly answers. The people who comment here are excellent at this game.

Im writing Thisbe without looking at other comments, but I think I see her lying down just inside the brush, right of center? Maybe? 😃😃

She’s not lying down, but I think you’ve found her (I can see why you might think she is lying down).

Another ‘butt shot’….lots of green…none of that here…lots of frozen white Penguin weather, wind & tan Beechtree leaves

I’m looking out over a very frozen lake right now – it looks anything but warm. This picture is making me very happy (and hoping we see that green sooner rather than later).

If it’s any consolation for the cold, here, in the capital of the alps we have nothing but miserable rain. Not the fantasy of Narnia one imagines at all …. but also not horribly cold. You win some

I would take a little rain these days. Though if I found myself in the Alps, I would probably be looking for our snow.

That tan flag is there just so we can find you, Choppy! 😉

Always a dead giveaway.

How much wood can a Choppy hide in, if a Choppy could hide in woods?

Gotcha Choppy! Envy the woods Sarah. The beach here is nice, but we miss walks under trees.

That’s my parents’ house – they have about 20 acres of woods (and about 10 of lawn/prairie). It’s a wonderful place to walk. By us, we have much more open space, though a few areas within an easy walk to get to the woods. I do enjoy having the variation in our walks available.

Got her. Rear end to the fire as usual!

Spotted! That tail is like a flag waving in the air and telling everyone where she is.

Ha ha, just reread the comment! Rear end to the FORE is what I meant.

I didn’t even notice – I just assumed it was what you meant!

Found her. Our “someday” is going to be Monday. Can’t wait to finally get above freezing!

Ours is tomorrow – I’m probably looking forward to it too much. I am now hoping I don’t get there, only to find out that the forecast was wrong and it’s still cold.

I’m right there with you. It’ll be so disappointing if it’s still cold. It’s supposed to rain though, so still can’t get out a lot.

We had double digits (barely – it was 11 degrees) for the morning walk. I had to ignore the wind chill, though, which sent us back to 0.

I think so but I am going to have to wait until I see the answer.

As long as you’re not in Boston right now (where a friend of mine is) you’ll be all right!
And I spot Choppy – Bums Away! 😀

We’re a long way from Boston – and looking forward to some (relatively) warmer weather starting tomorrow. I can’t wait!

I thought she is somewhere on the left. But looking into the first comment, it seems to be wrong. ;-(
