I don’t think Choppy was too happy about Schooner being in her bed – though she wasn’t about to let that ruin a good opportunity for a nap.

Oh to be able to sleep comfortably. I wonder what Schooner is thinking as he is being spooned by Choppy. Bacon probably. Perhaps also recognising that Choppy is a good heat source in winter.

Schooner: WHAT are you doing with your tail? 😹. C&S do look pretty cozy…Choppy is very fortunate to have a Queen sized comfy bed.

That tail never stops moving – it’s a good thing she isn’t a dog, or we’d have to watch out for injuries.

How do make your animals ‘live’ together? My Elkhound had 4 cats here, at some point…it all worked…I can’t remember disgrunteldness.

I think it is conditioning (when a puppy or kitten) or breeding. Terriers, for instance, instinctively want to destroy small animals (they must be brought up with cats to not harm them). My sisters raised Scotties and they were maniacs!

Choppy didn’t grow up with cats in the same house, but my parents always had them so she had to learn to live with them there. I don’t think she and Schooner will ever be best friends, but I’m OK with their relationship being more “toleration” than actual “friendship.”

Cute. How long did they stay cuddled up? Choppy looks like she is embracing the sleep part and Schooner is about to embrace the Festival part. Those two terms seem opposites to me, unless it’s like a slumber party. LOL

This did not last long – Choppy didn’t really enjoy it at all, she just put up with it because I wanted her to.

It is one of her favorite toys…and then she pulls the squeaker out. At which point, I buy her a new one…and then she pulls the squeaker out. I’ve lost count how many hedgehogs she has had at this point!
