Schooner recently had his annual checkup at the vet. He did not like it. Not at all. Thankfully, he came through with a clean bill of health, so hopefully we won’t have to take this trip for another year.
Not the happiest camper.

Good to know Schooner is well

Yup – and hopefully it’s the last vet trip until his 2018 checkup!

And at least he got out and about 😊

And no stroller required – he went in his carrier.

……..amd he has no clue why this trip was a ‘must’…..I would have loved to see the Vet’s face, if you brought him in his stroller 😮🙈😹

Sadly, no stroller – I took him in his kennel. I may have to rethink our mode of transportation next year.

He was definitely not a happy camper – though he was a real trooper and got through it without any trouble!

Aw – but it’s good to have that annual check just in case. 🙂

It is – hence why we deal with the issues and get him there (though really, at this point, Choppy is worse to take to the vet. As soon as she realizes where we are, she does whatever she can not to go in).

Aw LM totally sympathises. I can get her in the vets, but she shakes the whole time 😦

Poor LM! Sounds like Choppy – she tries to hide under chairs, climb in my lap, etc.

Catulations on a clean bill of health. Those vet trips can be quite the adventure. And not in a good way.

That’s for sure! Choppy is actually more trouble, as she recognizes where she is going and does all she can NOT to go as soon as she does. Schooner still hasn’t figured out what’s going on.

Not a happy trip for sure (did he yowl the whole way?) At least you brought a towel to help him feel safer and now he is set for another year!

He meowed for the first little bit – I brought Choppy in the car in the hopes it would keep him calmer as well (sort of the “if it’s OK with Choppy, it should be OK with you” theory). Mostly, I think Choppy just enjoyed seeing someone else go to the vet for once.

Me too – I don’t want to have to take him any more than necessary!

We had a cat who hated the carrier so much that she’d rub her check against the metal bars, resulting in a big bloody wound by the time I got her to the Vet’s office. It looked like I was abusing her somehow, but the truth was that she did this herself… as a way of making me appear inhumane in front of the Vet. Fortunately the Vet saw through the charade, and the animal welfare people never came calling. But honestly, really?

Considering the move would potentially result in a trip to the vet even if that were not the original destination, this seems to be a very counter-productive move. But, you know, cats. I certainly don’t understand them.

Oh, that look in his eyes. As if he would say: “Folks, what the hell are you doin’ to me!” 😉
