I have little of interest to report on our Dog Walk Challenge for the week – and after the bunny incident from last week, this is a VERY good thing!

Thanks! It’s fabulous to walk this time of the year. The sun is up when we start our walk, we don’t need a coat, etc. I have to get in plenty of miles now, so that when it’s the dead of winter, I won’t have to walk as much to keep up with my two mile per day goal!

Thanks! I am hoping to keep these up where they are all summer – I need that buffer for winter, when I won’t want to walk two miles (or can’t!).

Love the quote! You are doing great with the walking. Looks like Choppy was ready to get in out of the heat.

That’s pretty much every day right now – happy to get inside and into the air conditioning. She doesn’t even come out with me when I water my plants, which I do right after our morning walk, she just sits inside and luxuriates in the AC.

Tippy will do that too. We took a walk this morning. When we got back, I went to do a poop hunt in the yard, before mowing, and she sat in the garage and whined until I got back and let her in. She stayed inside the entire time I mowed. Smart girl, as it was hot and humid today. LOL

Good gracious! I missed the bunny incident which I suppose happens more often than people with dogs are willing to admit. Still… Choppy, whatever were you thinking? Oh, that’s right– you aren’t one for thinking, now are ‘ya?

Clearly, some baser dog instinct kicked in for a bit that day – one I hope we don’t see again anytime soon (or ever, for that matter).

Wow, that’s pretty impressive and now I know why choppy always has a smile 🙂

It’s been good for both of us – I am sure we’re both healthier for all of the walking!
