I’m pretty sure this look says “not a chance, Sarah.”

Ray would do pretty much anything to get at those carrots! Throw in some Romaine lettuce stems and a few celery hearts… and you would have a friend for life!

Choppy is just the opposite – she hates vegetables. She will sometimes want a carrot, but that’s only when they are covered in dip!

She just doesn’t like the taste of plastic wrap. π

Ha! And some of us don’t really want to eat things that were in the dog bowl without it (even knowing how clean it is)!

That look really does say it all. My son used to give me that same look, must be the carrots.

I would probably give myself the same look if I found that on my plate, too!

Definitely serve without plastic. I used to give my Elkhound cooked carrots, peas, corn & butternut squash, rice, spaghetti…oops, those two don’t count as veggies.

I don’t think there was any chance Choppy was going to eat that plastic – she certainly didn’t want what was inside it!

They actually celebrated this one at work! They put veggies out for us at noon. I passed.

I would probably have been in the same boat as you – vegetables and I have a narrow and focused relationship.

I will eat them if someone else fixes them. If it’s just me, I’ll pass, thanks.

Yep, I think you are right! π

One of the few foods we can leave on the counter or table without any fear they will be eaten!

Abby Lab will spit carrots out. Frozen peas she likes.

Choppy is pretty anti-vegetable, unless said vegetables are covered in dip.

Cute!π
Well, one of my cats really loves cucumber !!!

Oh, that’s funny! Schooner definitely passes on all vegetables.

“You’re kidding me, right?” Not the treats she had in mind! Our first dog, a lab, loved carrots!

Choppy is not a vegetable eater at all!

Bacon treats are so much tastier!

Choppy and I agree on that point (so does Schooner. And Paul, for that matter!).

I think my brother feeds his all kinds of veggies, but do you expect Choppy to unwrap that long zucchini? π

She wouldn’t want me to unwrap it – Choppy is definitely a dog whose tastes lie on the carnivore side of things!

I reckon Choppy would like the vegetable dish I’m cooking today. It’s a beef stew, some meat, lots of slowly cooked vegetables too.

I’m sure she’d like the meat part of that!

What a nice dish, but really neither Choppy nor Schooner are vegetarians. π

Clearly, it is only the humans who will be eating these items!

That does kind of look like the “Where’s the bacon?” look. However, Tippy would love that meal. Carrots are one of her favorite things. I use them as treats for her.

Choppy would be happy to send over all the carrots Tippy can eat, so long as that means she doesn’t have to eat them!

You are absolutely right – (this is your child Sarah ! π π π )
Now forget vegetables day, and if that were pizza with bacon…that look would certainly be different π

Oh, we’d all be into the bacon pizza around here!

I know many dogs that love carrots. Mine don’t like anything that isn’t meat or cheese. A chip will lie on the floor, untouched. Even when they lick plates (prewash!), they will scoot veggies off to the sides of the plate.

Choppy is with your dogs – she might eat a carrot or piece of celery if it’s lathered in dip, but even then, usually the dip just gets licked off.

Hah I’d get the same look from my hubby π

Well, Choppy seems to be not very amused. π

She wasn’t. Thankfully, I had plenty of treats she does enjoy to hand over after she put up with my picture-taking.

Bill had a dog that LOVED carrots! He would leap up into the air to catch.

I wish Choppy enjoyed them! She usually smells them and gives me a look that says nothing so much as “where’s the dip?”

oh, I’ve come to the conclusion that there are vegetarian dogs, and mashed potatoes / meat dogs. Seriously, my current dog will sniff at the healthy item and look at me like – that’s not food. Where’s the cheese? Where’s the meat? Where’s the egg? The other big dog would eat ANYTHING.
