As the end of Year 1 of the Dog Walk Challenge has gotten closer, I’ve started to think about what to do to celebrate. I still haven’t made any definite plans – it feels like tempting fate to me – but I have some ideas. Let me know any thoughts you have for a potential celebration.
No need to suggest “all the bacon” or “a really long walk” – I think both of those items are definitely on the agenda!

I eyes read ‘celebration’ my brain reads ‘champagne!!!’

Well, maybe not for Choppy, but I can do some champagne – I mean, I was there for all of the walks!

Champagne and Cupcakes ! You can have the bubbles and normal cupcakes and maybe Choppy can have some ‘dog cupcakes’ (Maybe there is a recipe somewhere).
I think a t’shirt is needed with her name on it as well 🙂

Two of my favorite things! And Choppy definitely likes the latter – she’ll even eat the paper from them, if given the chance.

Definitely 🍾🍾🥂, scallops wrapped in BACON, if you like those, a bouquet of your favorite flowers 🌸🌼🌹🌷💐🍁🥀, dinner…definitely not at “KFC” 😹🙈, and maybe a new pair of walking shoes!

Definitely not KFC! 😉

Choppy and Schooner look like they have everything they need, so maybe just some more treats.

They do have everything they need – though certainly not everything they want!

How about a mini-slideshow of seasonal highlights over the year? That’s for us. Now for you two, edible treats are a must. Please dress Choppy for the occasion – a fashionable scarf and sunglasses, next to the champagne bottle and glasses with bacon-strip treats on a plate or is that too much torture? 😉

Oh, that is a good idea! I was trying to find a good picture of Choppy from the beginning of the challenge to see if there has been a change in how she looks. I got distracted and that didn’t end up happening. A slideshow would be a great way to show that!

Another thought: plant a tree! You have lots of water, so a willow would be a great choice. There are also dwarf weeping willows.

Oh, that’s a great idea – I have wanted a willow out by the river or the pond since we moved in.

It really has been – that initial 30 day challenge has really ballooned into something I didn’t expect, but am glad to have done (or almost done – a few more days).

I’m drawing a blank on celebration ideas. I usually reward myself by purchasing something that I want, but don’t need – like a new camera. So, what is that thing that you put off buying because you don’t really need it and it costs more than you really want to spend? That would be a nice reward.

Oh, now this is an idea I can definitely get behind. I will have to think about something – the problem is, I tend to have most of the things I want/need. But I’m sure I can come up with something!
