Do not worry: no cats or dogs were harmed in the making of today’s Pinata Day post.

Always remember ‘the claws’ 🙂

You’d think both Choppy and I would be more cognizant of them than we are!

Wow, it sounds like Choppy knows. Do not hit the cat!

She does know – as for me, I still need some work on getting out of his way when he’s in a mood.

Hahaha, we used to have two cats. One was shy and sweet, the other was just Crazy!

They do have their own personalities. We had a bunch of cats as kids, most of whom lived outside. They were all unique little individuals!

Agreed!

Yep, you are right about those claws so you want to be nice to the cat. Hugs and nose kisses

Yes – the cat is a creature who you are forced to respect!

Good point. 🙂

It’s probably a good thing candy doesn’t come out of cats – little kids already harass them a lot. Adding candy to the mix would not be a good thing.

18 claws, if necessary

Poor Schooner, I can’t bear even the thought!

Can a dog even hit a cat with a stick? I mean, they only seem to wield them when dragging them around with the hope you will throw it for them. I’ve never seen a dog use one as a weapon.

Although my neighbor’s lab, who has a fondness for running while carrying 5-6′ sticks, can easily take you out at the knees when she runs past. You have to stay alert!

I’ve nearly been taken out by a few giant sticks – not carried by Choppy, thankfully, but other dogs!

Violence is never a good way to get sweet treats Choppy. You could try selling Schooner and then buy lollies from a shop.

This is a much better suggestion than hitting something with claws.

I wonder how many lollies Schooner is worth?

Probably not many.

A cat piñata, huh? That has all kinds of ramifications doesn’t it? The least of which would be candy I suspect! LOL

Oh-so-many ramifications!

Choppy, that sounds like the voice of experience. 😉 I’ll give Schooner the right to defend himself.

So do I! There is more than one reason he has his claws!

I bet that’s not the only thing that makes the claws come out. Choppy better stick to the papier-mâché kind of piñatas.WeekendsInMaine

I think we’ll all stick to that kind around here!
