Just got back from Tucker’s Wellness vet visit and thought I’d check in on the adventures of Sarah and Choppy. Hope you two of you enjoyed your walk today!

Our latest walks have been good – the weather is decently warm, though we’re fighting a lot of wind. I’m shocked it didn’t blow me right over today!

A lot of wind in my neighborhood as well.

Took me a second but I found all 3. That last one was a wily character. 🙂

Perhaps that’s why Ben Franklin wanted them as our National Bird!

Excellent – this was a small group. We’ve been seeing dozens around fields over the winter!

Well adapted to their environment. Did Choppy see them or was this a stay-at-home day for her?

She was in the car, but if she saw them, I didn’t notice – I think she knows better than to chase birds this large, and it translates to not barking at them while in the car.

😀 My Maine coon cat was crazy enough to chase a turkey. The turkey was totally nonplussed, just hopped out of reach with a look that said, “Small fry, you don’t worry me in the least!” People in the neighborhood are still talking about that cat – what a character he was!

Wow! Choppy is bigger than that and won’t mess with them!
Of course, the turkeys we have around here have been known to attack kids in search of their lunches, so perhaps ours are even worse than normal ones when it comes to their reactions.

There must be something in the water around here.

Yes. I found them. It’s always fun to see random animals in their natural habitat.

Yay! We see a lot of turkeys around here. A LOT of them. These ones were closer than I typically see them in the car, so I wanted to snap a pic.

Before I got Tippy, we had several that would roost in the trees around my house. They pretty much stay away from the house now, but we do see them sometimes when we take our walks.

We don’t see many at our house – we mostly see them on the drive to work from the country and my parents’ house (this was on the road near their house). I’m guessing it’s for the same four-legged reason as why you don’t see them at your place!

Tippy does give them chase when we find them during our walks.

The turkeys are tough to find on my cell phone! I will try again if I make it to the library, Sarah. xo Please give the pets some hello scratches from Robin
