I’m going to be mixing things up a bit this week – instead of my normal posts which go up in the morning, I’m going to spread them out over the day a little more (nothing too much, just testing out when people see posts more). Not a huge change, but if you don’t see something at its normal time, I wanted you to know there is a reason behind it.

Our 2 kitties are so used to the birds & squirrels on the feeders, that they don’t spend much time looking at them anymore. Even the window feeder is not an attraction to kitties.

Wow! I don’t think we’re anywhere near there yet with Schooner. Choppy has never shown much interest in birds, but based on the last nearly eight years of her life with me, she will never get tired of the squirrels!

Guess Schooner is ‘changing’ things up too but I’m sure he’ll be right on it later on in the day. 😝
P.S. FYI we’re happy to see your posts whenever you post them.

Thanks! I really just want to see if they are more popular at some point in the day, so I can make sure the most people get to see them!

🙂 didn’t realise there was a ‘normal’ time lol, as I come in and out at irregular intervals so never know who to expect 🙂

During the week, the posts are usually really regular – 8 and 10 AM my time. Not this week, though (and who knows – maybe never again!).

I must admit, I don’t see the squirrel. I don’t think it would be afraid of Schooner anyway, with the window between them and they are tenacious. And, I agree. Didn’t realize there was a regular schedule to your blogging. I just see them when I get on the computer, which is, basically, whenever I get a chance. I am still impressed that you keep up your walking when away from home. I really fall short in that arena.

It tends to be a lot harder when I am away from home – the idea that you can just take a break, or sleep in and do it later is really tempting!

Most of the animals that come to my window have gotten used to my big, pink face staring at them thru the window. They may not know what glass is, but they know I’m not a threat.
I hope the post time change isn’t all for little ol me 😍 IMO, there ARE strategies when it comes to post time. I’ve usually stuck with the midnight hour… Why? So my post has 24 hours to gather hits.. Better stats! I also think globally, as I have folks that read me on the other side of the planet. However! If you’re like me, I only read for about 45 minutes around 5 am. If a blog I’m following, like Travels With Choppy, posts at say 9am (cst), by the time I am back to my reader (the next day) there are many other blog posts in front of it. I may not get to it, as there are posts piled up in front of it. Granted, a well timed 8am post may do well as its “on the top” of the reader for a majority of morning readers. I’ve actually been messing with my post times also… changing them to 5-7 AM. Let’s see what happens!
Incidentally, I was just too crazy without my daily dose of Choppy that I broke down and started getting your posts emailed, instead of my weekend binges! You’re the only one I let in my email 😋

I wouldn’t say you’re the reason for the change, but you certainly inspired me to get around to doing it, as it was something I have been meaning to do for a great while!
I never thought of the midnight posting, though, as getting more hits because of all the time it is up…I’m going to have to contemplate that for an idea I’ve had in mind for a while (a potential surprise that will probably never happen).

What kind of pet camera do you have? I would like to be able to talk to my dogs when i’m not home. Thank you!
