The snow has returned (more so than is in the pictures) – but at least it’s pretty! We even got two walks in for Day 271 – not going to complain about that!
Walk One:
Date: January 25, 2017
Location: Home
Length: 1.3 Miles
Who: Sarah & Choppy
Walk Two:
Date: January 25, 2017
Location: Home
Length: 1.3 Miles
Who: Sarah & Choppy
Puppy paws do not belong on snow! Good heavens, everyone knows that. 😉

Clearly, someone thinks we should move to Florida. Wait, that’s me.

Tippy is the complete opposite. She loves running in and eating any and all snow that falls. Glad it wasn’t too bad and you could still get in your walk.

I don’t know why Choppy was avoiding it – she wants to go out and roll about it in every night. Apparently walking in it is not OK, but rolling in it is glorious. I will never understand the dog mind.

Can’t blame her!

I wouldn’t want to walk on it in bare feet! I am not sure she was actually avoiding it – I think I might have just snapped three pics at similar times.

Well, heck, it’s cold! I think I’d make the same choice in my bare feet. 😉 Malamute she is not!

Definitely not! The dog I grew up with LOVED the snow and cold. He once refused to come in on the coldest night of the year (which is clearly VERY cold in Wisconsin). Choppy will roll in the snow a bit, but by this time of the year, I think she wants it to be warm again.

She reminded me of my first weenie dog Jojo he did not like the feel of getting his feet wet. it was soo cute he looked like he was prancing just to get his paws off the ground as fast as he could 🙂

Oh, that had to have been adorable with those little legs!

and he would shiver haha he was a smooth so not a fluffy coat like the rest of his family were all long hair. I would pick him up so fast and zip him inside my coat w me his liddle body trembling while the others were white washing their own faces and having a blast hahaa!

We did! Choppy didn’t completely avoid the snow.

Choppy is amazing and sweet here, as always! 🙂
Does she ever chew on her paws due to the blue salt on sidewalks? Our dogs used to do this and it caused my ex and I to use some other products. Couldn’t figure out how to walk her without this eating away on paws.
We started driving to parks where either mulch or rocks on paths didn’t have commercial products on them.
Sarah, I loved your comments on the (“assholes”) movie reviews blog. 🙂

When we lived in the city, she had so much trouble with her paws on all the salty streets! There is a lot less salt where we are now, so it’s not as much of a problem (there’s still one part of our walk that gets a bit salty, but as long as it isn’t too snowy, we can cut across a lawn and avoid the salty street part). She is fastidious about her paws – she still has the puppy pink on them, which I attribute partially to that – so any salt sends her into a licking frenzy.

So glad to hear Choppy doesn’t have to deal with so much salt anymore. Her pink paws made me smile! Such a sweet “pup” even now! 🙂

Thanks! I was watching a video of new tricks to teach him. So far, the training for that is going poorly. He may be a one trick kitty.

This was kind of you and maybe it is due to busy lives and small cell phones! (?)

I blame the latter on all sorts of mistakes, but always on my spelling mistakes (even when I make one that was not made while on the cell phone).

Ha ha! I think it is so odd that “they” (those elves or demons inside my phone) sometimes change a word I slowly typed in. Just to make sure they wouldn’t switch it. Hmmm!
