After a few days of cold weather walking, we got home from our weekend away to discover it was raining and quite unpleasant outside – so a treadmill walk it was.
Also, as the weather has taken a decided turn for the nice here (well, nice for this time of year in Wisconsin, at least), I’m going to take off the temperature part of the posts for now and hope that we don’t get bitterly cold again. If it does, the temps will be right back up here.

Looks like a great place to be, doing “whatever”, outside! We’re expecting a temp of 42 today! Not regular January weather.

It’s raining here today – I will take that, as it will take some of this snow with it!

It’s beautiful. And, I hate to tell you, but chances are, you will be putting the temperatures back up.

“The woods are lovely, dark and deep, But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep.” Here’s hoping the temps cooperate on lovely walks.

That’s a lovely poem – Robert Frost is fantastic. And the temps have really been cooperating the last couple days. I’m hoping this weekend we can get out and really enjoy some long, morning walks!

They were beautiful. It’s vacation country where we were, especially in the summer. There are hundreds of lakes and miles of trails to explore (and it’s a normal temperature then as well!).

This is such a beautiful picture, Sarah. Such a brilliant blue sky and I like it’s reflection upon the white snow! 🙂

And it was even prettier in person!

I haven’t snowmobiled in years. It is fun, but because your body isn’t moving, it can get cold!

We went a couple years ago and it was -8 while we were out there. It was much more pleasant this year – you didn’t really get cold even just sitting there. Or maybe I was just dressed properly!

Thanks! Northern Wisconsin is truly beautiful both in summer and winter – it was great to get a chance to visit (I take any chance I can to get up there).
