We returned home from our weekend trip to Pennsylvania to a beautiful snowfall – which you can see in the video of Schooner from yesterday. If you watch outside during the day, the snow accumulates as the video progresses.
Date: December 4, 2016
Location: Carlisle, Pennsylvania
Length: 1.3 Miles
Who: Sarah

The first snow storm is always pretty. Then the reality of the dark, cold and shoveling walks sink in and it loses it’s luster quickly.

So, so true! Spoken by someone who clearly has much experience in this area! I just wait for our pond to freeze so I have my ice rink – makes winter so much more bearable!

It’s getting to the not pretty stage – lots of people walking in it, sort of melting, sort of muddy – I think we might need a little more to cover the bad snow up!

It’s a Logi Circle – I think it’s this one:

I got it for free, which was nice. I’ll do a whole post on it at some point.

First snow is always the best. Our enthusiasm wanes as the months go by. 😉 Spring could come in mid-January like it does in England and that would be okay with me. But I must admit that I’m enjoying the bracing air and the reduction in the incidence of ticks. The good news about winter!

It was quite brisk for our morning walk – but it really is still refreshing! In a month, I know I won’t feel that way, but like you, I look for the good news – by then, the days will be getting longer and we’ll be that much closer to walks during daylight hours again!
