Our morning walk involved a spitting rain – but as it continued all day, it was probably good we just got it over with. Some days are great walks, and some days are reluctant, unpleasant ones. Day 208 was definitely the latter!

Because I was home all day, something a little different for this video (because Choppy doesn’t get on the couch and Schooner doesn’t spend too much time on his cat tree when I am around). On the left of this video are the front windows of our house – and everyone seems to walk by at some point here (including, again, a box elder bug).
Travels with Choppy 
Choppy is such a good looking dog. And it was fun to catch a quick glimpse of the bipeds in the household. More more more bipeds with Choppy and Schooner. Happy Thanksgiving to ya’ll. ❤

I think we can handle that – I had hoped maybe to have a fun video from Thanksgiving, but that didn’t work out. I’ll have to work on getting us more into things!

hahaha Looks like Choppy saw something she wanted to get at a couple of times. Loved the box elder beetle on the camera lens. So funny. Those beetles can be a pain in the…..well, you know what, when they swarm. Happy Thanksgiving.

Oh, they swarm on the front of our house like crazy! They get so bad it’s unpleasant to even walk out there – and then they all ball up on the house…so gross!
And Choppy was likely barking at the mailman or other people coming to our sleepy end of the street – they all get the same barking treatment!

What is it about the mailman? Wren gets very indignant when he puts paper is HER mailbox!

Choppy even likes the one that comes to the office – yet she always barks at him until the treats come out.

Does she get upset when you see him outside of the house? Choppy used to go almost as nuts when we saw any of the trucks on walks. Now, it’s a bit calmer – they merit a growl, but not a full on fit.

Oh, yes, if we are out walking on the road and the mail truck, UPS, FedEx or really, ANY truck goes by, I have to brace for the lunge. So annoying! I only get compliance with the zap-collar, which of course, she only wears on our trails, but maybe I should use it when we walk on the road. It doesn’t even have to be active anymore. As soon as it buckles, she is as good as gold. 😉

Ugh! They are box elder bugs. Harmless, but they are all over around us (and some in the house as well).
