Beautiful day! Those are ink cap mushrooms. Watch them over the next couple days as they get really drippy with black ‘ink’ and look very Halloweeny. A little late for the calendar, but just as fun. 🙂

Oh, I will keep an eye on them! Hopefully with the time change it will be nice and light during some walks this week and I can get an updated picture.

We’ve been getting downright perfect weather to keep the grass green. Some rain, lots of sun, and warmth! I can’t even tell you how much we’re going to spend this year on mowing the lawn, but it’s so pretty we can’t complain too much!

Here in my part of Florida, we just broke a record for the most days without rain – so it is looking really dry and dead down here. We are expecting rain in the next couple days – finally! 🙂

Eliza beat me to the ID, however she didn’t mention they are edible… before they turn ‘inky’.
I had a client email me complaining about “phallic mushrooms” in his lawn that were embarrassing.. what would he tell the children?? OMG! Go step on them if they offend you so much. My boss had to send someone over there to remove the tiny penises… or is it peni? 😉

We had been getting more rain – now we’re at a happy medium. Of course, we’re never going to get to stop mowing the lawn at this rate.
