Travels with Choppy 
Ha, Schooner quotes another reference to the film Up. The rabbits here on the marina are quite plentiful again, and plump. If we were on the other side of our basin, a few may have found themselves having a ‘hot bath’. Maggie doesn’t bother with them now, and they know that so each has a mutual respect for the other (they won’t run as they know she won’t chase).

I think Choppy will want to chase the rabbits and squirrels forever – I’m not sure there will ever be a mutual respect there!

I’ve not seen many rabbits lately. In the spring there were many. I think the Hawks are getting them.

We had a couple weeks where they were few and far between, but they seem to be back in strong form. I can’t say I’m all pleased by this latest development.

With each passing day, Elsa becomes more comfortable leash walking and has now ‘discovered’ squirrels but saw her first bunny a couple days ago. My shoulder is still recovering. 😉

If Choppy had to choose one to chase, it would always be the rabbits – she likes to chase the squirrels, but she truly loves the chase the rabbits. I wonder if it’s because the rabbits never make for the trees.

Squirrels are almost as exciting but like Choppy, bunnies are the bomb for newbie Elsa. 😉
