They commonly do. There is usually a little anxiety when placed in a different environment without the owners.

She really gets excited to go there. I think there’s a lot of exhaustion at play – she goes to doggy day care and gets playtime, so it’s even more exercise than normal. Plus, in between this picture and leaving the kennel, she went to work with me. A dog’s life isn’t always restful!

aw though she looks so cute sleeping.

She does – it’s very peaceful when she and Schooner are both asleep at the same time (he was actually just above her on some chairs snoozing away).

Being up for guests IS exhausting pup work. Hope you get the proper Zzz’s to rejuvenate. You’ll need to be on your game with the cat, Choppy.

Much sleep is needed around here to deal with cat antics!

Aw, even though she will have been fine in kennels, I’m sure it’s stressful and she doesn’t really relax, so it’s nice for her to be able to do so, once home . . . until Schooner spots her!

I am sure she prefers home, but she seems to love her kennel – she starts getting excited when she knows where we are going and doesn’t even say bye to me, she is so happy to go with the workers!

Unbelievable! They must take Very good care of her. 🙂 (That and Schooner-Free time!)
I’ve only had to take LM to kennels once, where I left her for a whole month! She survived OK, but it was traumatic for both of us! 🙂

She liked it even before it was Schooner-free time! I have to take her fairly regularly, so she has been going since she was a puppy to one of two different kennels. I think she feels like it is her second home – enough so that I have joked for years that in Choppy’s ideal world, we all move to the kennel so we can be together, but she can also play with all her dog friends!

She is happy to be home (though she does enjoy the kennel – I always tell people that in her ideal world, we would all move to the kennel together).

She does like being here – though she is pretty chill about going wherever. She’s just a generally happy dog!
