I took the picture for Day 119 on Day 120, because (in what is quickly becoming a theme around here), I failed to get a picture on our actual walk.

Choppy always takes prefect pictures! 🙂

She is great at them – though I will say there are outtakes, even with her!

Do I detect a little bow legged appearance in Choppy’s right leg? My Tucker is so bow legged (in BOTH legs) it’s comical. According to the Vets, it’s not a source of problems as they age either. This makes it much easier to laugh at him!
Your pictures always display such a sweet side of Choppy. Schooner, on the other hand…..not so much. He is handsome, but those eyes have “devil” written all over them. 🙂

She isn’t really bow legged, she just does the ‘lazy sit’ almost all the time so it sometimes looks like she is bow legged. From what I understand, most dogs grow out of it (or have people who are far more concerned with it and teach them a ‘proper sit’). I think as she gets close to her 8th birthday, we’ve passed the point where Choppy is going to grow out of it!

The benefits don’t outweigh the stress that she and you would go through. She’s beautiful, regardless!

Exactly! And she’s not a show dog and she doesn’t participate in any sort of training where it is necessary. We’re all happy with the way things are, because they suit our lives just fine!

Love the pink name tag 🙂

I remember when I got it, it seemed super expensive (it was maybe $15). Considering Choppy has been wearing it for years now, I think we got our money worth!

its really pretty 🙂

Well – she sure looks happy, even if she does have to stop for a photo shoot now and then! 🙂

How about she’s less happy having to stop than she would be just to get on with things?

Ah it’s only now and then – and dogs have to learn patience just like we do!
Wait a few years, and you will be standing there waiting for her to sniff everything and dodder along slowly – just like I do now with old SL! 🙂

True – I see older dogs walking and I know it’s our future, probably sooner rather than later (though I am doing my best to stave it off for now by getting her plenty of exercise!).

Oh Choppy looks good to go for many more years yet! – Like LM, who is 11! 🙂

I hope both of them have many more years to go!

Well, Schooner, being a cat, could make 17 to 20! 🙂 I think it’s cos they just lie around sleeping all day! 🙂

I’ve known several cats who made it well past twenty – if Schooner makes it that long, hopefully he will calm down!

I am Still waiting for LM to calm down! – She’s supposedly 77 and shows no signs yet! Agh. 🙂

Hmm Sorry – I think you were referring to Choppy and LM – only part of My comment comes up in my notifications, and I have to try to remember what I said! Still, Schooner will outlive them all! 😀

Cats definitely have the dogs beat in the longevity category (I might add ‘unfortunately’ to that – I could use a lot more years with Choppy than I am likely to get).

Ah you never know – she could go to 18 like some border collies. I’ve convinced myself LM will live to at least 15! 🙂

The dog I had growing up lived to be 15 – when he got hit by a car (and not for the first time). Who knows how long he would have lived otherwise?

Oh dear, so sad. Mr SL is at least 15 – and still poddling on! 🙂

I would probably take the photo after the walk! She might even collapse in that grass! 😉

Well, I certainly take plenty of the pics when we come home (though that is usually because I forget on the walks!).

Patience is definitely a Choppy virtue that not all dogs (or cats) share!
