Day 118 involved two beautiful walks – one at sunrise and one at sunset. I’m trying not to think about the fact that the next time the days will be this long again is April. On the other hand, we’ll be headed toward summer by then, so maybe I should think ahead to April!
Walk One:
Date: August 25, 2016
Location: Home
Length: 1.3 Miles
Who: Sarah & Choppy
Walk Two:
Date: August 25, 2016
Location: Home
Length: 1.3 Miles
Who: Sarah, Paul & Choppy

I love the way she looks in this picture: the way her head rests on the floor between her paws, and tyhe actual look of her eyes!
Have a wonderful day, you two,
Pit

It’s a pretty common way for her to sit post-walk around here – it’s the ‘I’m exhausted, please let me rest!’ look.

Choppy looks all worn out! Was she chasing bunnies?

She wasn’t – we’ve seen a market decrease in their number recently, and there aren’t any on the part where she gets to go off-leash. She was just running around and enjoying herself!

Wonder where all of the bunnies have gone? I know that she is enjoying herself and glad you took up this walking challenge. I need to slow my life down a little so I can make sure Tippy is getting enough exercise. Of course, in the heat, she won’t do much anyway – would rather lounge in the air conditioning. LOL

I think they’ve met their end by a cat we’ve seen hanging out in their area. Choppy may not be a bunny killer, but I think that cat might be (I found a bunny head without bunny body a few days ago, and it looked like the doing of a cat).

I have no plans to stop any time soon – though ask me again when it gets colder!

Good to keep up the walking, even if you will need to carry a headlamp soon! 🙂
Choppy looks super cute lying like this! 🙂

That would be an excellent solution – I need one of those hands-free ones. I can imagine using a flashlight (/torch) and attempting to pick up poop. Even in my imagination, that does not end well.

A miner’s hard hat and headlamp might work! 😀

When it’s the dead of winter around here, I think you need that much light to cut through the darkness!

At least when it snows, you get a little reflection. When there isn’t snow, it’s just dark!

This is soooo great! I have 6 doggies so I also do A LOT of walking. I always look forward to little cooler weather so I don’t have to get up at 5 am. Lol We walk our neighborhood and have gone to lots of the local parks. Love Choppy

We’re in Wisconsin – our problem is soon to be that the days are far too cold and short – I’m pretty sure we’ll be walking in the dark soon.
