Thank you! I had no idea what it was (I went with “Cool Flower on Awesome Looking Stem” – an apt description, but obviously not a correct name).

I think it is the most adorable place name ever. And they totally took advantage of it, with ducks on most of their signs.

Yup, what Alice said. I’ve seen some beautiful ornamental varieties up here in Door County. However, yes… generally considered a weed.

I wish my weeds looked like this, instead of things like burdock and stinging nettle.

Duck, NC is about 6 hours from my hometown (Huntersville, NC.) I live closer to the mountains than the ocean. Choppy would love walking through our mountains. You must return and try it out. 🙂

I love the NC mountains – I haven’t been out there in a long time, though. Paul would love to visit Asheville, so I think we’ll try to make a trip that way sooner rather than later.

Wise decision. Asheville is about 2.5 hours away from where I live and enjoy every visit I’ve made to the area. They are one of the most dog friendly cities as well. If you need help talking Paul into going, I’ll be glad to contribute to convincing him! 😀

Oh, he doesn’t need any convincing – I think he already has a list of breweries to visit! What we do need is a lot more time (and less work)!
