Four days into the Dog Walk Challenge, and we’re going strong (we actually took a longer walk later in the day – it was probably about 2.5 miles, but I forgot to check the mileage when we started, so it’s not going up).
Date: May 4, 2016
Location: Home
Length: 1.3 Miles
Who: Sarah & Choppy

We had a longer walk today, about 3 miles in total, so are well knackered!

Very nice! We did just over three today, but spread over two walks (as will be seen tomorrow).

We’d been up to vote in a local election and carried on a different way to the supermarket which was a mile further, so Maggie had shorter walks later. I suppose over the day we walked between 4 and 5. Little and often, isn’t that what they say? Or is that just food?? !!

I decided to take a few extra steps myself yesterday, ended up just shy of two miles. :-). (giggling at Schooner and his affection for Choppy, talk about cute)

Nice! And the affection definitely isn’t mutual (yet).

Good for you both. Keep it up. And love Schooner playing look out! 🙂

Like this photo with Choppy in shadow that reaches to the pond and intersecting the reflection of the barns, it leads the eye straight up. Arty!
Schooner is looking a tad Egyptian (Abyssinian?) with those ears. He’s becoming quite the handsome fellow.

I didn’t even notice the arty part, but it is – a happy accident of where I stood and my shadow!
He is a bit Egyptian looking. He also has an interesting tabby pattern, especially for a kitten found in a barn!

You can make up a story about him being heir to a fugitive king. 🙂

Day 4 – exciting! Poor Schooner has to stay home! Thanks Sarah, and I did receive your email – will let you know our details soon. Happy day my friend! 🙂

Schooner probably doesn’t mind being the greeter when you get home. Matter of fact, Walmart is looking for qualified greeters!

Hey, if he wants to get a job, I welcome it! These animals are quite the freeloaders!

Looks like you have a beautiful place to walk. Schooner deciding Choppy is her pal now is great. 🙂

We do – but our normal country road is all torn up, so it isn’t quite as good as normal!

Aww, sweet Schooner. Poor guy, he is trying so hard to win Choppy over! 🙂
I liked the water photograph, I captured some baby goslings with their mommy but haven’t decided when to post it. I already had a Mother’s Day post in the “works,” Sarah. You are doing well on your daily walks. Hope you have a wonderful weekend, just in case my visits with family members keep me from blogging. Starting after work tomorrow, spending night in German Village at youngest daughter’s apt. 🙂

It was – I think Choppy was exhausted by the end of all of it (but in a good way!).

Keep going strong guys. It is same in human as it is with pets. The more you try, the more stronger you are.

Oh, he does – Choppy may not reciprocate the feelings entirely!

That’s him on every walk – I really need to get one of him watching us out the window, which he does sometimes.

Ha, that’s gorgeous! Our two cats are often waiting to greet us when we return with the dogs & they try to greet them – the dogs sometimes return the favour if they’re not distracted 🙂 I love the scenery you get to walk past!

It’s great – we live right on the edge of the country, so I get both the countryside and the city (or at least as much of a city as one gets in a small town).
