Day 3 of the A to Z Challenge and we are on to the letter “C.”
C is for Chicken. And no, the cat is not wearing any clothing. So it’s also “C is for Cat.” In retrospect, I should have just put up a picture of them both without costumes and done “C is for Choppy and Cat.” Next year…Outtake Time! As you can see, Choppy is somewhat exhausted by the process. And the cat at one point did have some clothing on, at least until he started playing with a Peep.Once Schooner started playing with the Peeps, Choppy decided this was unacceptable, because jealousy. So she promptly ate all the Peeps, lest the cat eat any of them. In related news, I’m shocked we got that first picture.
I hope you enjoy it! My arms and hands (as well as Paul’s) are going to be scratched up in the continued attempts to make the cat dress up, so I am glad it is being enjoyed!
She would rather not wear anything on her head (though if you look at the Darth Vader pictures from Bad Jokes today, you might not get that impression).
Hahaha this is hysterical !!! Both Choppy and Schooner are such good sports !!! I see Schooner is really getting into this ‘picture’ thing with Choppy 🙂 🙂 🙂
I watched Megatoad eat some ridiculous number of Peeps in 10 minutes on YouTube the other day. We don’t have them here. I think it was 200 hundred of them. https://youtu.be/97ihzsFAg9E
They’re actually made by a small, family-run company, so I think they have trouble making enough for the States, let alone the rest of the world! They really just sugar-covered marshmallows, so if you have something similar, that’s what you’re missing.
And I can’t get to the end of that video – I think it’s going to make me sick!
I skipped the beginning – I probably shouldn’t have, or I would have known not to keep watching. I am pretty sure this is not something I need to experience for myself!
I just love that Schooner looks utterly unfazed by anything that happens – it’s all just playtime! Choppy just looks a bit peeved at the shoes, but at least she got her Peeps (don’t think we have them here in Oz but probably that’s a good thing!) 🙂
It’s like when you give them those colorful rope toys and they poop them out. Later, the rain had washed the poop away and you’re left with little dreadlocks around the yard!
This is gonna be one hilarious series! 😀
Thank you very much for all the laughs!

It’s the long sleeves. They hide all the trouble that goes into these!

Here’s hopping the letter D does not involve colorful dog poop as a result from the consumption of the Peeps. ;-).

No worries – Choppy seems to have gotten through the eating of the Peeps without problems!

Poor Choppy does not look real happy to be a chicken. Cute pictures.

I’m not sure he’s so much into the pictures as he is into his new toys (also known as costumes to some of us).

Okay, my question is, did the peeps stay ‘down?’ In my house, they’d wouldn’t!

They did stay down! Choppy has a stomach of steel, but even I had my doubts on the Peeps.

So does Choppy cluck like a hen?

She will if she finds any more Peeps!

I count remember the calorie count but it’s huge. I think all that sugar started to be like sandpaper on his throat.

It’s a cute pic – and she was really not happy at that point with the cat.

hilarious! Choppy is so accepting of the costumes…if not accepting, sure is patient!!
Love the peeps and how Choppy didn’t want the cat to have any..

She really does enjoy it – there is a video on the blog somewhere showing how happy she is to get dressed up and how well she sits for it.

I’m glad you didn’t just go with Choppy and added the chicken part! Super cute 🙂

Thanks! Next time, I leave more time to work on it, so it turns out better.

I think the takeaway from this whole post is…. CHICKEN SHOES. Nailed it!

I’ve never seen Choppy look so put-upon as in that second photo. I’m laughing, but at her expense. The Peeps are a nice touch.

The cat is causing her no end of troubles – I think it’s reflected in this photo!

Your poor dog sure puts up with a lot. Very cute though!

She most definitely does put up with a lot – and now the cat does, too (though the dog is much, much better about it).

My cats won’t put up with dressing up, but they do a lot of photography and other interesting thinks not considered normal cat-like behavior.

I was discussing Peeps with another Aussie, and I will have to remember some next time I visit so I can spread the Peep love!
And Schooner’s whole life is playtime. Choppy just wants to get done with the dressing up so she can get to her treats.

I hope the peeps didn’t cause a issue with Choppy’s belly! Ha ha. Peep poop! 😉

Peep Poop! That is disgusting. But mostly hilarious.
And she seemed fine. At least, if she had any tummy troubles, I didn’t see evidence of them.
