This morning, after a weekend in Pennsylvania, we woke up to two deer visitors in the backyard here in Wisconsin. I immediately thought of you, dear blog readers*, and how much fun it would be to do a “Not Where’s Choppy”to find the two well-camouflaged visitors. I’ll post an answer on Wednesday for those of you who don’t check the comments to find the answer. In the meantime, happy non-lethal hunting for the two deer!
*OK, you weren’t my immediate thought. My first thought was that I’m glad the flowers aren’t out yet, because I am pretty sure these two would be eating them.

I think you may have them! If you find the one, it’s rather easy to find the other, as she is looking right at the other one. Of course, if you find the other one first, no such luck.

Deer are so easily camouflaged! They used to be up at my parent’s house and they blended in so well!

Must admit, not so concerned with where the deer are as opposed to finding out what monster of a critter built that nest looking blob in the branches of the tree there to the right of the picture. Good grief! :-).

Honestly, I thought they nested down inside the tree trunk – I had no idea they built nests like that. My afternoon walks are going to be slower now as I search the trees for these squirrel McMansions, lol.

They may well nest in trees as well, but all I’ve ever known of are the giant squirrel McMansions!

I thought I’d be getting better at his with the practice, but GAH! This week I actually enlarged, stared, enlarged, stared, and then flat-out checked the comments for the answer. Ugh. I stink!

I think I may have some lists of non-deerfood plants for you. Hopefully, they are only there in the winter. I get deer in winter, but no other time.

Oh, excellent! I heard the other day from someone who lost their tomato plants to deer. I had never heard of deer eating those before.
