Choppy’s Gotcha Day is at the end of February – February 28, to be exact. I thought in the lead up to that day, I’d post some puppy pictures of her (because everyone likes puppy pictures!). Today, I’ll start with one of the first pictures I ever saw of Choppy – the one from the humane society website, from before she came to live with me.

Oh you little thing Choppy! Sooooo adorable, and totally photogenic. You went to the right home!! 🙂

Unfortunately, the cat doesn’t seem to subscribe to it yet. He seems to be getting worse by the day. I’m never going to get him dressed up at the rate we’re going.

Little did she know what would happen to her when she went home with me.

Being pampered being one of the things she’d suffer I bet Sarah 😃

She does suffer through some pampering. Just a little (*gets up to go get Choppy yet another treat*).

She made it easy to make her a good home – I can’t imagine not having her around.

OMG – look at that face! So, what you’re saying here is that she’s always been an adorable dog. Got it, lol.

She really has been adorable forever – though I never would have guessed she would turn out looking the way she does from what she looked like as a puppy. All of that puppy fluff went away long ago!

What a super pup! We’re off to collect another dog tomorrow or Friday – a friend for Trevor, who’s still missing his mate Ulysse who died a year ago. Our new dog (a proper rescue) is at https://waa.ai/kunO

Oh, a terrier! I’ve never had one (and by one, I mean a terrier mix, as I’ve never had a purebred dog). I’m not sure I have the proper temperament for a terrier, but I’m sure if I had one in my life I would wonder how I ever lived without one. Keep us updated on the new pup!

Trevor is a purebred Jack Russell Terrier, and Ulysse was 100% Wire Fox Terrier, so that’s nothing new for us. We don’t know yet what Eos will be like in terms of cleanliness, obedience etc., so it could be like having a seven year old puppy! Expect the odd post on my blog.

Here’s hoping you get the kind of dog you can’t believe someone would give up!

What a lovely thing to say. Thank you, Sarah. We had confirmation this morning that the sterilisation went well, and we’re planning to pick her up and do all the formalities tomorrow. The centre is nearly four hours away, and I know there are others closer, but Eos’s story kind of got to us.

That’s awesome, as that’s Choppy’s Gotcha Day. And really, it is easy for me as I only have Choppy to worry about (the cat is on his own).

Be still my ❤ She looks like one of mine. They could be siblings. Give her a big hug from me and my gang on this momentous anniversary.

There will be new puppy pictures until her Gotcha Day on February 28! So plenty more to come (and some really cute ones – it is hard to pick these out!).

How many years ago did you get Choppy? Or is that a rude question to ask of a lady dog?

I’m pretty sure you can ask a dog this question (though if you get nipped by her because of it, it’s not my fault). I’ll have had her seven years at the end of the month. She was, as you can see from the picture, still a puppy when I got her.

She was adorable as a pup. Even as a grown lady.

I like to make sure Choppy feels good about her weight. We’ll ignore that she would weigh a lot more if given her druthers (namely, eat all the treats, no dog food and sleep most of the day).

Haha. How lucky Choppy is… How do you know if she is happy? Sorry, I am not that pup-knowing person hehe.. But I’d like to know..
