That is one patient Choppy. Is this her first pet cat? She doesn’t snap at him or anything.

I’ve never had a cat before, but my parents have had one or more cats her entire life, so she is really used to them, having been around them her whole life. As for our cat, I think she’s just gotten used to him, and it’s better to pick her fights with him than to choose to fight all the battles. Unfortunately for her tail, it ends up bearing the brunt of this decision!

Ha! This reminds me of my dog Lucy hitching a ride on my parents’ dog’s tail when she was a puppy. He never got rid of the kink!

No kink in Choppy’s tail. At least, not yet!

The cat’s probably not heavy enough. If Lucy had managed to stay upright whilst holding on, she could have been mistaken for a water skier!

What the heck, C?? That kitty is full on attacking your gorgeous tail. You have the patience of a saint.
Love and licks,

Hi Sarah,
I vividly remember scenes like these when our Sarah was still around. I always admired her patience then.
Have a great week,
Pit

I wonder if there weren’t any people around, if she would be so patient, or if our presence makes her put up with more.

That’s an interesting thought. But I believe dogs are either patient by their nature or not, and that it doesn’t depend on the presence of human beings. Somehow I think they know that all is play and that they have an inborn indulgence for the young – puppies or kitties. And from Sally I know that, in the rare case she felt it was too much, she simply uttered a (faint) growl. Which was enough for the kitties to leave her alone – for a while. 😉

Well, I do know that the cat survives being at home all day with Choppy, so I guess that is some indication that she is tolerant while we’re away. Of course, it could also be that the cat is saving all her energy for when we get home.

I’m sure they play during your absence, too. But then, cats nap quite a lot, don’t they? At least ours do.
