Choppy has never been the most active dog. But this week, I seem to have caught her napping a lot more than normal. Here she is napping in front of the TV (and a host of as-yet-unpacked boxes). Here she is napping rather than going outside for some exercise. Here she is napping in the bedroom, though not using either her blanket or bed for that purpose. Here she is attempting to nap at the office. I’m blaming this nap on the wine cork she had consumed, the remains of which are strewn about her. It’s not all napping around here. This is Choppy at my parents’ house, sneaking into a room she is not allowed in (see where the carpet starts? That’s where she is supposed to stop). And you certainly can’t nap when in the car. You might miss a chance to bark at a bicyclist or a dog.
And back by popular demand, this week’s “Where’s Choppy?” picture.
Backlighting is your friend when you want to hide the dog.
Her body language in the room with the carpet clearly says she knows she shouldn’t be there. My favourite picture is the wine cork though. Naughty Choppy!
It’s tough on a dog when moving houses. Much napping is needed for weeks afterwards to cope with the humans all fussing and constantly lifting boxes and dropping them again. Exhausting stuff. All you need is a full dog bowl, water bucket and blanket to (not) lie on!
hehe Great fun! 🙂 And how relaxed Choppy is! 🙂

I didn’t think anybody took naps more seriously than I do, C. You’ve got me beat. I think I see your head in the hidden picture.
Love and licks,

There is only one thing Choppy takes more seriously – her food.

Obviously, an exhausting week and Choppy was apparently dog tired.

If only I could take as many naps – I would never be exhausted!

Oh, she is well aware of the rules! And corks do not last long around here. Choppy loves chewing them up.

Sounds like Choppy has it made – and even with a backyard to disappear into when she gets truly tired of us!
