At some point in my life, I moved with seeming regularity – into a dorm room in August or September, out of a dorm room in May or June. I moved overseas for study abroad and I moved for work. When I spent two years in the same apartment after law school in my late 20’s, it was a cause for celebration, as it was by far the longest I had continuously lived in one place since turning 18.

Then, I bought a house and stayed put for six years in one house. I forgot how horrible it was to move.

Last year, we started the cycle of moving again when Paul moved to my house after we got married. Then, we moved out of the house and into storage sheds and an apartment. As of this weekend, we are all back in one house. Unfortunately, while movers got everything into the house, we’re responsible for unpacking.

It is not a small or quick job.

Here is one of our storage sheds.

And here is the other storage shed. As you can see, they are packed rather full.

Here is the trailer we had for moving. If you look down the street, you can see the truck we had for moving (it was the largest they had). Because one truck was not enough for all that stuff.

She's of no help with unpacking.

On the other hand, this is of help with unpacking. Or at least ignoring the unpacking for another day.
