On Sunday, Paul and I will have been married for a year. I may not have finished up going through our wedding pictures (for that matter, I may not have even started to do so), but I have put together a wedding album of looks Choppy sported prior to the big day. With our anniversary coming up, I think it’s a great time to share some of her best bridal looks (Paul is likely reading this and shaking his head, wondering what he got himself into with this crazy dog lady).
It’s not a wedding shoot without a blurry, up-close look at the bride as she contemplates her marriage. Or when someone will finally bring her a glass of champagne.Gazing off into the distance, still wondering where that glass of champagne is.I’m pretty sure you aren’t required to pay a wedding photographer if they don’t get a picture of you gazing out a window in black and white.Things not required by a wedding photographer: looking at the actual camera.Nothing says wedding like lying in a field of flowers. Except hay fever. And grass stains.Choppy didn’t actually wear the veil on the big day. We wouldn’t want to distract from the bride, after all (of course, I’m pretty sure she stole the show even without the veil – here she is making her grand entrance with us).And here she is, all dressed up and begging for yet another meal (I’m pretty sure at least 10% of our food budget disappeared into her tummy thanks to her begging and our generous guests).
I am sure, second to you, she was the star of the show… or at least she thought she was. She probably had a good sleep after with all that food generously provided to her. Congrats on your anniversary as well!
I am guessing she was exhausted afterwards – we left her with my parents while we honeymooned. And I am still hearing Choppy stories from the wedding! I think she had as much fun there as anyone!
Happy anniversary – love the photos! I had to laugh when you pointed out the B&W bride-gazing-out-the-window photo every photographer does – it’s so true! But it’s an irresistible shot. 🙂
I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks everyone does this! That said, I’m not sure we have one of those for me. I guess I’m not one to stare out of windows needlessly!
How was Belize? We’ve been discussing a possible trip there at some point (I think we’ve heard too many radio commercials advertising it as a “safe, English-speaking country” to not think about going there!).
Happy Anniversary! I loved the photos! I showed them to my Molly and asked her if she would like to play dress up like Choppy. She gave me a look that said, “Just try it.” 😉
Happy Anniversary to You, Paul and Choppy! 🙂 Whatever Choppy wears, she will always steal the show (she is simply beautiful ❤ ) Even though I can't really see you and Paul clearly in the photo you uploaded, but you two still look amazing!!! 😉
Thank you! Perhaps if I actually get around to our wedding photos at some point, I will post some better ones – it was a great wedding (though I really would have enjoyed it as a guest – as the bride, I was so busy!).
Happy anniversary guys! Great photos of course, and no-one got me gazing out a window either during our wedding – it is a little corny perhaps?! Although Choppy of course does it well 🙂
Thank you! I am glad I’m not the only non-window gazer. I think the only reason that would happen would be if I was pining for an alcoholic drink and watching others drinking.

Congrats on your anniversary. Choppy’s photo album is delightful. So real, yet refined. Like she is, I’m sure.

Thank you! And I think I have seen her roll in too much poop to consider her refined!

Looks like Choppy has a lovely family! Our 3rd anniversary is coming up August 4. We honeymoon in Belize and a year later rescued a dog from there.

Ha! Bribery – that’s the key to compliance with dressing up wishes.

Thank you! It doesn’t seem like it has been that long since the frantic, last-minute planning that was going on at this point a year ago!
