Maybe not the funniest picture ever, but I was highly amused by the thought that they give you numbers to deal with any issues, but want nothing to do with your car troubles.

I know of many places Hawaiian car rental places don’t want you to go. Wonder if this is one of them?

Not at all (surprisingly) – it’s the road up the Waimea Canyon, and is nicely paved the whole way. On the other hand, it’s about as far from anywhere as you can get via car in Kauai, so that may have something to do with it!
