Today, for the second 12 Dog Days of Christmas Challenge, a little something different. I was supposed to post Choppy’s favorite Christmas treat, but she tends to get her normal treats (i.e., the Milk Bones she loves, ice cream, other treats, random people food I “accidentally” give her, etc.) no matter what time of year it is. She may get more treats at Christmas, but she isn’t getting anything really different at Christmas.
Every year, though, Choppy does get one treat that is a Christmas treat (if not food) – the PetSmart Christmas stuffed animal! Here she is with last year’s dog, which is quite worse for wear (and the love it gets well after Christmas season is merely a memory).

Oh I totally know what it’s like, my 6 month only Aussie goes through his toys like there’s no tomorrow, and my only reasoning for his last victim is “my you must really love goofy!” 😉

I am glad to know I am not alone! Thankfully, the speed of the toy destruction has decreased with age for Choppy – otherwise, she would have toy-destroyed us out of house and home!

The toy still looks in pretty good condition 🙂 And I quite understand that Choppy had to stop it squeaking 🙂

This one got some precision surgery – the extraction of the squeaker came through a slit. Others end up as piles of fake fur. It is always a surprise as to which form of destruction Choppy goes for!

Yes. . Surgery to remove a squeaky is delicate biz. You’re just doing a buddy a favor! Who wants to squeak like that?

It is delicate! And the squeaking is why I like the silent squeakers. Choppy gets her fun, and I don’t risk deafness!
